We have a very strong focus on varietal selection and constantly trial new varieties of all the crops that we grow to perfect seasonal opportunities, colours selections and disease resistance amongst other things.

An example of this is the work that we are currently doing on daffodils. We have purchased a large selection of new double varieties. We are now focusing on understanding which of these varieties is preferred for its visual attributes, by panelling. We are also looking at the shelf life performance and ease of growing. We will then combine this information to short list over a hundred varieties down to two or three and then we will work on expanding our breeding stock.

Product innovation is key to remain at the forefront of this fast moving industry. Our in house florists gain inspiration from around the world to come up with the most exciting mixed bouquet designs based around the flowers that we grow.
